Volunteer With Us

The Bureau aims to harness the power of the community to provide support to vulnerable and isolated people. Volunteering is a great way to enrich your community and sense of personal wellbeing by applying your own life experiences and skills.

Why Volunteer?

Volunteering is a great way to share your life experience and skills, whilst making a contribution in your local community. It’s also a brilliant way to meet new friends and even discover talents you never knew you had! If you have some time to spare and would like to make a difference to the lives of people in your community, The Bureau would love to hear from you.

Who Volunteers?

Anyone! Everyone benefits from volunteering, and you will get at least as much back as you put in, if not more. Few things feel as good as helping people!

Our volunteers come from a variety of backgrounds and ages and volunteer for different reasons. We have volunteering opportunities to fit around your work, family or holiday commitments. It could be a flexible hour every now and again, or a more regular commitment.

Don’t just take our word for it, have a look at what the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) found in their study of the impact of volunteering on volunteers!
