Volunteer readers to work with primary school children

Schoolreaders volunteers are matched with a local primary school and visit for an hour each week during term time (holidays can be taken during this time).  Our volunteers read with children individually to help improve their reading and comprehension skills and also their enjoyment of reading. Our volunteers really enjoy feeling like they are making a difference to children who are struggling with their reading or who may not have anyone besides the school staff to listen to them read.

Volunteers must be over 18, have good written and spoken English and be willing to have a  DBS check carried out (at no cost to the volunteer).
