If so, The Bureau is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our Board of Trustees.

The Role

As a Trustee, you will:

• Provide strategic oversight and guidance, ensuring The Bureau achieves its mission and stays true to its values.
• Support and challenge the management team to deliver impactful projects and services.
• Use your skills, knowledge, and experience to strengthen our governance and decision-making.

We welcome individuals from all walks of life and particularly encourage applications from young people, women, people from Black and minority ethnic communities and those with a disability.

We are also seeking to fill some skills gaps in our current Board of Trustees, and therefore on this occasion would love to speak to people who have experience in fundraising – supporting with our fundraising strategy, building partnerships, innovative fundraising ideas, mentoring and training our management team and diversifying our income streams. The trustee’s input here will be invaluable in securing financial sustainability, expanding our reach, and ensuring that essential services continue to thrive.

Time Commitment

We meet bi-monthly for Trustee meetings, and occasional time may be required for subcommittees or specific projects. This is a voluntary role, but reasonable expenses can be reimbursed.
