Having the right support through life’s ups and downs can really help. Our Life Skills worker and Community Mentors offer a listening ear and practical help to tackle and overcome life’s barriers.
We offer help towards paid employment or self-employment for people who face additional issues or barriers in their lives. Issues can include housing – mental health issues – drug and alcohol problems – building confidence and self esteem – Learning Disabilities – help with debt issues and money management – or support to try out different work experience situations to help decide on future goals.
Our Life Skills worker and Community Mentors will:
- Work with you and help you come up with a plan to get you closer to your goals
- Share practical solutions to help build confidence and identify new opportunities
- Link with others who have been in similar situations to share ideas and solutions
- Help connect you to the right mix of services, support and activities in the local community
The service is for people aged 18 years and over living in Glossop and New Mills area
