At the Bureau, we understand the challenges that come with sight loss, and we are here to provide practical advice, support, and companionship to those who are experiencing it. Our vision is to empower individuals with sight loss to live life fully and independently, with the support of our caring community.

What We Offer

Through our Call Companions project and one-to-one support, we provide regular telephone calls to those who may feel isolated due to sight loss. Our friendly volunteers are trained to offer companionship and support, lending a listening ear and a friendly voice to brighten your day.

In addition, we offer home visits (when permitted and appropriate) to assist with gadgets, lighting, magnifiers, and home adaptations. Our team of experts can provide practical advice and solutions tailored to your needs, helping you regain independence and confidence in your daily activities.
