After completing 40 years of service in the Financial Services industry, Waybe joined the board of The Bureau as a Trustee in late 2018 .

He enjoyed a Leadership /Technical and Relationship role working for The Royal Bank of Scotland in various locations around the United Kingdom and in various banking roles. He spent the last 10 years of his career working in Manchester, returning to his home town and settled to live in Glossop.

He was appointed treasurer at The Bureau in 2019 and has held that position since. Wayne chairs and leads our Finance Sub Group and reports to the board accordingly. He also sits on our Human Resources Sub Group.

Independent of his role on the boardm he also became a telephone befriender during the Covid Pandemic and was able to witness first hand the great work we do in supporting the Glossopdale community.
