Anne Talbot
Trustee
Anne has recently retired after a successful 35 year career in the NHS. Despite working throughout the Greater Manchester area, her roots are firmly in Glossop having lived and brought up her family here since 1991.
During the first 15 years of her career she was a GP Principal in Glossop. Following this she pursued a portfolio career in medical management whilst continuing her clinical practice in Bolton, founding one of the first GP-led social enterprises in the country. Anne has held a number of NHS roles in service improvement and transformation at local, regional and national levels. Anne was honoured to be awarded an MBE for services to General Practice in 2016.
Aside from her roles within the NHS, Anne has been a trustee of a Community Leisure Trust since 2018 with its aim of increasing participation in sport and active recreation.
Since her retirement, Anne has been an active volunteer at the Bureau as a Life Skills mentor. Anne is passionate about ensuring the continued success and development of the Bureau for the longstanding benefit of our community.
In her spare time, Anne enjoys travelling, hiking looking after her growing brood of Grandchildren.
